    Saturday evening

    Night Navigation *

Module 3 - Advanced and progressive intermediate navigators
Pace: very steady run but we'll dress well to keep warm!

If you want to do some of the longer trail races that have a night running section, becoming competent and comfortable at running at night gives you a huge advantage in a race and also opens up more opportunities for training throughout winter. This session gives you the skills and confidence to navigate safely at night.

    * Start time is dependent on time of year but the session will generally run for 1 hour which usually follows with a cleansing ale!

Just want the individual session? Cost: £40pp or just £10 extra if you are already booked into the intermediate afternoon session and want to attend the night nav aswell.

  • 9am-3pm Sunday

    Route planning and long run

Module 4.2 - Intermediate and Advanced

Learn to plan a long trail route in mixed terrain, where some overlap into fell running may occur. In planning your route decisions must be made to design your course around certain hazards. You will then navigate yourselves around the course, with your guides accompanying you to make sure you stay on track! The run itself will be around 3-4 hours and may include some steep ascents and descents. During the session you will have some one-on-one time with your guide to go over training plans and some goal setting.
