Sky Racing
The International Sky Running Federation holds some fantastic events worldwide. Skyrunning is defined as running in the mountains above 2,000 metres altitude where the incline exceeds 30% and the climbing difficulty does not exceed IIo grade. These races provide an amazing amount of atmosphere as well as quality mountain routes in spectacular areas.
We are looking to organise a trip to Sentiero delle Grigne "Trofeo Scaccabarozzi" (Pasturo, Lecco, Italy) in September 2012. This is a serious mountain race with some exposed rock sections, and we will be holding a training weekend in Snowdonia to expose you to some of the types of terrain you are likely to encounter. This will be held roughly one month before the trip.
If you are interested in this event and attending the actual race, please express your interest. We will be setting the event details when the Sky Race calendar is made available.

UTMB
The Ultra-Trail du Mont-Blanc (UTMB) is a mountain ultramarathon of 166 km, with a total elevation gain of around 9,400 m. The race takes place along with its sister races the CCC and TDS in the Alps, and many believe it is the most difficult race in Europe. With the pre and post event festivities centred in Chamonix, this is a lifetime experience and one where good preparation and training will make all the difference - both with the race itself and the logistics surrounding the event!
We are planning a UTMB/CCC/TDS training weekend in Snowdonia 3-4 weeks prior to the race, which has been set for the 31th August, 2012.
Snowdonia is an ideal area to prepare for the UTMB, where we design routes that mimic the type of conditioning your body will need for the big event. During the training camp we will also discuss how to approach the race, what to wear, carry and eat as well as provide tips and tricks on getting through any low-moments!
We'll have more information on this event soon.

Snowdon International
The 2012 Snowdon International Race, to be held 28th July, is one of the biggest races in the UK racing calendar and one which the local runners always get nervous about - especially if they are representing Wales!
This is a great event and one that both Iain and Sarah have raced in year after year.
We will be holding a weekend training camp 3-4 weeks prior to the race, where we will not only provide an excellent - although hard - few days of fitness training, but we'll also provide training and pacing tips and undertake assessment of your technique to see if we can help you shave some time off your run!
