Snowdon Horseshoe

A classic route with breathtaking views. Sunglasses on, the weathers amazing!

Selina had requested two days of training, and with weather like this, it was just too good not to do the Snowdon Horseshoe.

The Glyderau

To extend the run, we refuelled at Pen y Pass then continued for a natural add-on of the Glyderau.

Selina had shown a natural talent for covering the rough terrain and we had made good progress around the horseshoe. As a reward, the unique rocky ground of the Gyders was an option. She took it.

The Carneddau

It made perfect sense to tick off the remaining 1000m peaks.

A new day and the legs were fine, so I suggested we do a run over Carnedd Dafydd and Carnedd Llewelyn. It's a wonderful ridge line and there were still patches of snow to remind us that winter was not long past.

A lovely completion to a good few days of training. Thanks Selina for being great fun and full of grit and determination
